On the first day of school, please plan to arrive early on August 24 if you are transporting your child.  Traffic is usually more congested the first day and parking is limited.

Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade students should be brought to school by their parents or another responsible adult.  Please walk your children to their classrooms by 8:20am.  The teachers will be there to greet your children.  At this time the teacher can meet each parent and verify how the children are getting home and whether they are bringing or buying lunch.  All students are on a full day schedule, from 8:20 am – 2:00 p.m, beginning the first day of school.

Students should arrive at school no earlier than 8:00 a.m. There is no supervision until 8:00 a.m. and the safety of your children is important to us.  Our breakfast program begins at 7:45 a.m.  The school bell will ring promptly at 8:20 a.m. every morning.  It is imperative that students are at school on time.  The dismissal bell will ring at 2:00 pm. for kindergarten and First Grade. The second through fifth grade bell will ring at 3:00 p.m.

Breakfast is free! Forms for free and reduced lunches will be sent home on the first day of school.  All parents must reapply for these benefits at the beginning of each school year.  It is important that all families fill out the paperwork and return it to school even if you do not intend to take advantage of the program.  Please help us by completing and returning the forms to school.

Miami Dade County Public School’s Department of Food and Nutrition has started a program called (paypams). This program allows parents and guardians to pre-pay for their child's meals. Payments may be made through debit/credit cards by visiting their website or by calling in.

Parent/Student Handbooks will be sent home the first day of school.  Along with the handbook will be several forms for parents to sign and return to school.  Student insurance forms will also be sent home the first day.  Students are not insured at school unless you purchase an insurance policy or have one you have purchased on your own.
