PARENT AND TEACHER ASSOCIATION 

(PTA)

Welcome to the 2008/2009 school year at Flamingo Elementary. We look forward to another rewarding school year.  This year we expect to raise funds for the beautification of our school and much needed educational and recreational supplies for our students.

We hope to have many of the parents join the PTA and offer their volunteering help throughout the school year. The PTA is committed to making Flamingo Elementary a pleasant learning environment for the children.

MISSION OF PTA:

     •To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the school, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; and

     •To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and

      •To encourage parents and public involvement in the public schools.
